This is a special meeting for parents to learn about Bill 115, the current labour situation, and how it is affecting our children. Parents have been expressing a need to know more, and also a desire to minimize the effects of the situation on our children. Representatives from the teachers’ union and Laurel Broten’s office will be here to take your questions.

The objectives of the meeting are for parents to 1) understand the current situation, and 2) talk about ways to lesson the impact of this situation on our children.
To ensure meeting effectiveness and equality for all parents, the Chair will be monitoring the conversation, to ensure all parents have a voice, and will be implementing a ” Parking Lot”, for items that need more discussion outside of the meeting time.
For your reference, here is some background info on the labour situation, from the People for Education website:
Please email if you have an item for the agenda (please note, due to the special content of this meeting, we may not get to all agenda items. If we run out of time, missed agenda items will be placed on the following month’s agenda).
