September means it is harvest time at Ontario farms, and time to take advantage of fresh local produce by participating in this year’s Fresh from the Farm fundraiser.
Every fall our school and community helps raise money to support meaningful programs in our school, including donating bundles of fruit and vegetables to our local food bank.
You can order fresh vegetables or apples for your family or the Daily Bread Food Bank. You have a choice of:
- Bundle A
- 5 lb potatoes, 3 lb carrots, 3 lb yellow onions, 3 lb sweet potatoes from local Ontario farmers
- Bundle B
- 8 lb Empire apples from local Ontario farmers
Order pick up are usually in November or early December.
You can also get involved by volunteering to assist with order pick up before school and after school. Send an email to sacinfo@johnenglish.ca for more information on volunteer positions or questions about the Fresh from the Farm fundraiser.
