Nominations for 2025/2026 DUE Friday, Sept. 12, 2025. Elections will be during the first meeting Wednesday Sept. 24, 2025.

John English JMS has an active School Council that supports our students, staff, and the John English school community.  In September each year, elect a team of up to 12 parent representatives for the upcoming school year.

Once this School Council is established, they decide who will assume which roles (ie. Co-Chairs, Secretary, Treasurer, and possibly committee Chairs). Visit this link for a list of suggested school council roles and their associated responsibilities. 

Parents/guardians/caregivers are encouraged to nominate themselves up until 1 week prior to the first School Council meeting of the year. If more than 12 nominations are received, an election will occur during the first meeting. Check this page for the meeting schedule or subscribe to the School Council calendar.
